The Nursery

You come upon an open hole in a willow tree. The walss are lined with dog skins, to keep the nursery warm in Leaf-bare. But are taken down when it becomes warmer. You walk inside."Hiya!" A small calico kit flings herself at you. "I am Specklekit! The strongest kit you've ever seen!" She gives a squeaky yowl but her mother shushes her. "Stay." Whisperclaw, Specklekit's mother, says. The other kit near Whisperclaw is a bright orange color. It doesn't take long for you to imagine that both of these kit's father was Firestar. You noticed how the walls are a bright red, and quickly realize it's blood stains.

"Hi!" I sniff the air. "Is he a Riverclan kitty?" Whisperclaw smiles. "She. And yes."

Twilightkit grunted. "I am not a tom..."

"I sorry!" I purr loudly and look up at mommy.

"Guys, Twilightkit is a girl!" I mew. "So, shut it!"

"I know that! Anyone wanna play fight?" I jump up on my paws.

"Sure!" I mewed as I lunged towards her!

Twilightkit, padded toward the exit of the Nursery. "I'm not even supposed to be here!" She yowled lightly. "I am Riverclan!"

I jump to one side and jump on her back. I get off and circled her. I almost go in one direction, but i run off and attack an open space. I lift my head. "Twilightkit, you can be here. Our clans are allies!"

"Oh, okay!! Bye!!!! See you later!" I yowled at the black kit.

I smile and i run up to my mom. "I'm hungry!"

Twilightkit mumbled under her breath, "Maybe I don't want to be here..." she sighed and turned to the other two kits.

"Oh hi Twilightkit! Are you leaving?" I wipe the milk off my mouth and pad to her.

Twilightkit sighed. "No, I guess...." she stood and walked around the Nursery, smelling the blood, she scrunched up her nose.

"Didn't you hear her?" I purred. "She said she couldn't be here!"

I laugh as Twilightkit's nose scrunched up. "You'll get used to it." I smile and look at my paw. "Well she can. She is our ally."

Twilightkit covered her nose. "I don't think so..."

"Then you might want one of the apprentices to get the smell out of your nose."

Cherryblossom smiled. "Come here. You know in a mere moon you will be apprenticed."

Twilghtkit nodded. "Yea, Greystripe, my daddy told me!"

Cherryblossom dipped her head. "Graystripe is a loyal cat."

Twilightkit lifted her head proudly. "Yes, yes he is."

"No need to be so humble. That won't be good in a battle." Cherryblossom smiled and her bright red coat shinned in the sunshine.

Twilightkit nodded. "Yea, I know!" she giggled lightly.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the highrock for a clan meeting." Blackstar called.

"Oh that's me! Come on, guys!" Specklekit runs out and climbs onto the highrock next to the giant black tabby.

Twilightkit ran to the clearing and ran onto the highrocks, sitting next to Blackstar.
